A controlled environment for ten special-effects projection cameras at Alton Towers.
For the former Charlie and the Chocolate Factory attraction, sensitive projection equipment needed to operate within critical temperature and humidity ranges. Holdsworth designed the ducted air system, manufactured it and completed the installation. This turned a highly unusual operational brief into a dependable environment behind the scenes.

Multi-point capture for a coffee-bean off-loading plant.
Holdsworth designed, manufactured, supplied and installed an extraction system serving several dust-generating points. Bespoke hoods were developed around the transfer process, with site surveys and detailed drawings used to coordinate the system with the client’s plant.

Manufacture, supply and installation of HVAC ductwork for new offices at AAH Pharmaceuticals in Talke.
Holdsworth developed detailed manufacturing and installation drawings from the consultant’s design, completed site surveys and coordinated with the mechanical and electrical manager to deliver to the project programme.

Dust extraction and fume control within the plant and its surrounding working areas.
The requirement called for robust industrial thinking around a demanding process. Holdsworth’s work addressed airborne contaminants at the smelting operation and in adjacent spaces, applying specialist extraction experience to a heavy-industrial environment.

07Attractions · Fume extraction
Fume extraction behind the famous faces.
Design and installation of several fume extraction systems for Merlin Magic Making – Madame Tussauds, supporting the manufacture of mannequins displayed in Tussaud attractions around the world.
The systems comprised work benches with localised extraction at bench and floor level, open-fronted spray booths, and a resin cleaning station and store which had to be ATEX rated.
